How to Draw a Coats
In this R fashion guide, you will learn how to draw winter coats.
The two design we will be learning to draw are the Trench Coat and Hooded Jacket. You will see the difference between type of coats and jackets. And learn the different between them.
Draw the fashion model
The model shows the shape of the body. Go to How to Draw a Fashion Model to see how to draw a fashion model.
Hooded jacket
​The jacket is short and covers the upper body, and ends near the hip of the person. See the lighter, tighter-fitting on the model body, and less insulating than a coat—design for wind chill and light rain.
Step One: The Outline
First, draw the line at the arms and hips.
Second, connect the line from the arm, hips, and side together. Leave the neck open.
Step Two: The Hood
First, Draw an oval around the part of the neck and head.
Second, Connect the open line to the top of the head, as displayed in the picture.
Step Three: Erase
Erase the fashion model's inner line, leave the part of the head and neck, too show.
Final Step: Detail
Add Color
You can choose any color you want.
Trench Coat
The coat is long, then the jacket. The overcoat covers the down to the hip or leg. Close by using buttons, zippers, hook-and-loop fasteners, toggles, a belt, or a combination
Step One: The Outline
Fisrt, Draw the line at the arms and knees.
Second, Connect the line from the arm, knees, and side, leave the neck open, shape the neckline to a Y shape down to the knees.
Step Two: The Neck Collar
Draw a circler line through the neck, connect the line to the Y shape line. Draw several lines going outwards away from the neck, as displayed in the picture.
Note: You modify the neck collar to fit your imagination.
Final Step: Deatil
